LEWANDOWSKI FUTURE UNCLEAR

Polish international Robert Lewandowski has been linked with a move away from Borussia Dortmund for the last 12 months. It was highly expected that he would be completing the much anticipated move this summer because he has only 12 months left on his contract. Hence, Dortmund would have been in opposition to sell him rather than lose him for a free in the next summer. The former Bundesliga champions, though, have surprised everyone by stating that they would be happy to allow Lewandowski to leave next summer and there was no chance of him being sold in this campaign.

Since he remains under the contract with the club, Lewandowski looks set to miss out on the move to Bayern Munich. There are several reports said that the 24-year-old has already agreed personal terms with the German giants, but Dortmund are unwilling to let him join one of their arch rivals especially after having seen Mario Gotze complete a £ 35 million move to Bayern recently. Lewandowski stated that he was extremely unhappy at the club and he feels cheated. The 24-year-old has revealed that the Dortmund officials made him several promises, which they have failed to keep in the summer.

“For me what he does is a thousand times more important than what he says because what he does needs no interpretation. Whatever is left to be discussed will be discussed internally. I am convinced we will clear up everything in the coming days,” said the Dortmund manager Jurgen Klopp. “I was disappointed because people within the club said one thing to my face and then later it was different to what was agreed. When I myself promise something then I keep my word. I was always fair towards the club, I always give 100 percent,” said the player a few days ago.
