Poland goalkeeper Fabianski has been in the West Ham United goal since the start of the season. He played the entire duration of the first 22 games of this season’s Premier League before missing the 23rd game against Manchester United at Old Trafford.

French goalkeeper Alphonse Areola took the place of Fabianski in the Hammers goal for the Manchester United game. Areola is on a season-long loan deal at West Ham United from French giants Paris Saint Germain (PSG) and he had featured in the cup competitions until the Manchester United game in the league.

Areola could not do anything about the late goal scored by Marcus Rashfordas Manchester United took the three points on offer at the expense of the Hammers. Rashford came off the bench to score for the second Premier League game in a row.

Rashford was subbed on in the place of compatriot Mason Greenwood at the home of London team Brentford in the league and he scored the third Manchester United goal to seal a 3-1 win. He scored the third goal of the game before Brentford striker Ivan Toney scored a consolation goal for the Premier League newcomers.Rashford made it two goals in two games on the Premier League scene after his winning goal against the Hammers in the third minute of added time off the assist from Uruguayan striker EdinsonCavani.

With the 1-0 home win over West Ham United, Manchester United replaced their London opponents as the fourth best team in the league.
