ZELINSKI ON SONG FOR NAPOLI

Poland national team midfielder Piotr Zelinski scored one of the goals as Napoli thrashed Udinese at home to boost their hopes of securing a place in the Champions League in the new season. The Poland player scored one of the goals in the 5-1 win over the team from Udine.

Napoli took the lead through the aforementioned Zelinskion 28 minutes. The Poland international has been amongst the goals on a regular basis this season. The opener tookhis tally to eight goals in 34 games in the Italian Serie A this season. He also has 10 assists in those games. Spanish playerFabian Ruiz was the recipient of the second Napoli goal three minutes after the opening goal from Zelinksi. Udinese pulled one back five minutes before the break through ex-Watford attacker Stefano Okaka. The goal from Okaka gave the visitors a route back into the game but they could not build on it after Napoli took the game away from them with three goals in the second half.

Hirvin Lozano scored the third goal for Napoli just before the hour mark to restore his team’s two-goal advantage at the expense of Udinese. Italian fullback Giovanni Di Lorenzo added a fourth goal for the home team on 66 minutes with ten minutes separating the third and fourth goal.

Napoli manager GennaroGattuso took off Zelinski for EljifElmas on 75 minutes with the game won. Lorenzo Insigne got in on act for Napoli with the fifth and final goal in added time thus making the victory a comprehensive one.

The big win over Udinese ensured that Napoli stay in fourth place with 73 points from 36 league matches. They have one point more than Juventus in fifth position. Napoli will return to the Champions League with a win in each of their remaining two games against Fiorentina (away) and Hellas Verona (home) irrespective of what Juventus do in their own final two games.
